Here is the progress Dubai based Business Leader Chris Whitehouse, has made within his first 6 months inside Built To Last.
“Just wanted to share a few reflections from my first six months in BTL. Now, I wasn’t particularly happy with how I looked, thought I ate okay, thought I trained okay, but my body shape wasn’t good. Wasn’t giving me the confidence I should have and what I’ve achieved over the last five or six months on the program has certainly taken me by surprise.
I’ve shown I’ve got the willpower to succeed eating well, how I train. The quality of the workouts, the variety to really push myself on my own, which I thought without a PT, I wouldn’t be able to and after six months now have dealt with half the seasons of the year have dealt with being away in the summer and certainly things are starting to normalize and don’t feel like I want to die at this point.
It just feels like this is how I should eat, this is how I should exercise, this is my routine. Dealing with holidays, dealing with eating out and other social situations, always getting steps in and add all those together and I’ve managed to lose nearly 20 kilos and I have never been in the sort of shape that I am in now for my whole life.
I’m just getting down to now my university weight, but I think physically I’m a lot happier with where I am now and it’s giving me the confidence at work, home, energies through the roof compared to what it was. The level of exercise we do on the program actually generates energy. My decision making is much better at work, at home, and I think people are seeing a better side of me and certainly my family are benefiting from the energy levels.
And certainly my kids, I think on the role modeling and the activity that I can do with them. And I’ve just noticed I’ve, I’ve just done a rugby tournament for the first time in six months and how I could get around the pitch compared to six months ago is vastly different. Yeah, I’ve really noticed it now in myself and overall the quality of life from a number of different angles has really improved. So I’m excited about where this goes next as we head towards a maintenance phase, building a few more calories into how I operate. Although, as I said, I don’t feel hungry at all, but interesting to see what, what comes next, what my next milestones are really pleased with how it’s gone.
I think for anybody that is wondering whether to join this, I never thought I would get to the sort of body I have now. And I think there’s more to come. The coaches are great and really lean on them, right? That’s what they’re there for. They’ve got the experience, they’ve got the solutions, and it’s how we shortcut those to get the best results for all of us.
And I look forward to meeting you all in the November BTL event in London.”
