‘Before joining up with Kirk & the BTL team I had been training for over 10 years – weight lifting, circuit training, and playing rugby, but could never get into the shape I thought I deserved, with all the effort I put in.
I managed to get into ok shape from time to time but felt for all the hard work, I was nowhere near the shape I thought I should’ve been in.
I have always had an ‘all or nothing’ mentality, on it/off it. Giving a big push in January, February, March ready for summer, however come August/ September I’d be back at square one.
The changes I’ve made to my training and nutrition haven’t been too drastic at all really. I’d say I train 20% harder, with more quality & intent, 20% more consistent, my knowledge of nutrition & training again has improved by 20%. I didn’t just climb off the sofa & reach out to Kirk with no idea of how to train & how to eat. I thought I knew a lot, however since joining I soon realised I didn’t.
I have tried many different training programmes and diet plans but never knew what worked & what didn’t, what was fact and what was bullsh#t.
Since joining the programme these subtle changes along with the mindset work, has helped me get into the best shape ever. I enjoy & look forward to the weeks work outs as they change from month to month, & I can challenge myself whilst tracking my progress.
I entered this program knowing I was going into the busiest year I’d ever had, starting a new business & building a new family home. Working with Kirk has kept me focused, on the ball & given me more energy to tackle the challenges I’ve faced over the last 6 months.
The best thing is, I feel I’m only just getting started!! With the knowledge I now have, I’m looking forward to seeing where I can go.
