How to eat out smarter at restaurants

When you’re out at a restaurant and you order your food…

Do you know exactly how many calories you’re getting?

Absolutely not!

There’s no way to know with precision.

So, what can you do?

You have to get good at estimating.

You can use the 150% rule where you add an extra 50% to the calorie estimate.

If you are still unsure, eat less carbs. These are often easier to eyeball.

Guesstimate the calories. So often, there are hundreds of calories from hidden oils (fats).

You don’t need to be perfect, but be realistic.

Don’t beat yourself up over little slip-ups here and there.

If you make a mistake, it’s just a great lesson for that next time you’re at a restaurant.

Remember, it’s honesty and continual progression, not sporadic perfection, that creates lasting change.

think you’ll agree with me when I say that juggling multiple goals can make things confusing.
