“This has truly for me been transformational. It’s given me a whole new lease of life. It’s been the best thing ever and it’s sustainable.”
My life before Built to Last looked very different than it does today. I have a serious spinal stenosis. I was having big, big issues. I tried everything. Osteopaths, facet joint injections, epidurals, whatever I could try, nothing seemed to work. And I was looking through Instagram one day and I happened upon Kirk and we set up a call.
We ended up talking for two hours and I really felt that maybe this was worth a try. So that was about 15 months ago. The journey has been amazing to date. I’ve dropped about 15 kilos. I’m as fit as I’ve ever been, or fitter than I’ve ever been really. I’m 54 and never really thought I could get fit.
Just learning about nutrition, how to work out, how important form is, and having the support of Kirk and Stephen who have been amazing, both physically and mentally. When I first met Kirk, I was coming out of a serious breakup. My daughter’s ill. I had a major operation as well, several years back, which, which means I have no balance in one ear.
So, there was a lot to do, but the journey has been incredible. And just having this, this community of people who support. each other. I feel so fit, mentally and physically. This is now part of my life. And that’s why I guess it’s called built to last because this feels like I can do this for the rest of my life.
And as Kirk and Stephen know, I’m not the sort of person that tends to want to do these things on Instagram or anywhere, but I really felt that I needed to. To spread the word because if there’s ever proof of being able to get fit when you’re older, I’m it. Thank you so much. If you’re thinking about it, do it. It has transformed my life.
